Changing lives in East London and beyond
Wednesday 22 May 2019, 5.30-8.30pm, The Great Hall, St. Bartholomew’s Hospital
In celebration of International Clinical Trials Day
The Engagement and Diffusion team works with researchers, healthcare professionals, patients and the public to build stronger partnerships in the development, delivery and dissemination of our research and encourage greater levels of engagement, participation and involvement in our research amongst our patients and local residents.
Each year, around International Clinical Trials Day in May, the team, along with research staff from across the Trust and Medical School, come together to host a series of events and activities designed to raise awareness of the diverse range of research taking place within our hospitals; to encourage more people to get involved or to participate in research and to celebrate our research successes.
This year, the Research Matters forum will focus on ‘patients’ experience of taking part in research’, highlighting some of the different ways research staff are working to inform our patients about opportunities to take part in studies and to provide them with the best possible experience of taking part in research. This event is free to attend and open to staff and the public.
For the full programme plus details of other activities taking place, please visit the Barts Health website here.
